Right now Luna’s Howl is one of the most coveted weapons in all of Destiny 2. With its top tier perks granting an insane TtK of 0.33s, it’s no wonder why so many Guardians are clambering to get their hands on this pinnacle weapon.
Below is an easy guide on how you too can acquire the Luna’s Howl.
ACQUIRE THE QUEST
To begin the Luna’s Howl Quest, first travel to the Tower and visit the Crucible vendor Lord Shaxx. Pick up the pursuit Shock and Denial from his inventory.
STEP 1. SHOCK AND DENIAL
Complete 10 competitive matches.
Remember both wins and losses count toward progress!
STEP 2. Pain and Guilt
Defeat 150 Guardians in the Competitive playlist with Hand Cannons.
Using a good Hand Cannon will obviously make this step easier. Some of the top Hand Cannons right now are Spare Rations, Ace of Spades, Last Word, Trust, Kindled Orchid, Duke MK.44, and Service Revolver.
STEP 3. Anger and Bargaining
Defeat 200 Guardians in the Competitive playlist with Solar final blows.
The IKELOS_SG_V1.0.1 shotgun from Escalation Protocol seems to be a popular choice when grinding out this step. But any Solar weapon, subclass, grenade, or ability will count toward progress.
STEP 4. Depression and Loneliness
Complete 3 Rumble matches.
This is arguably the easiest step in this lengthy quest chain, made only easier by the fact that—just like with Shock and Denial—both wins and losses count toward progress.
STEP 5. The Upward Turn
Defeat 100 Guardians in the Competitive playlist with Hand Cannon precision final blows.
Definitely a grind, especially to those players who don’t regularly use Hand Cannons. But just like with Pain and Guilt, using a good Hand Cannon will go a long way in completing this step efficiently.
STEP 6. Reconstruction
Reach Glory rank “Fabled” in the Competitive Playlist.
Thankfully, reaching Fabled, or 2100 Glory points, is much easier now than it ever was in previous seasons, with Bungie removing loss streaks from Destiny 2 all together (a truly punishing mechanic activated when a player loses two or more games consecutively).
However, depending upon your skill level, reaching Fabled will likely still be a challenge. So gear up with your best loadout, a solid Fireteam, and a whole lot of persistence, and you too should be able to reach the esteemed rank of Fabled!
STEP 7. Acceptance
Return to Lord Shaxx in the Tower and pick up your much sought after prize: Luna’s Howl.
